Native Journalist: Duncan McCue

Duncan McCue is Anishinaube (Ojibwa), and a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nations in southern Ontario. Duncan graduated from UBC Law School.

He currently is a reporter for CBC- Vancouver. His coverage of aboriginal issues was recently honoured with the first-ever BC Region RTNDA Adrienne Clarkson Diversity Award.

He is also currently a visiting professor at the UBC School of Journalism, and has taught documentary journalism to indigenous film students at Capilano College.

I had the opportunity to meet Mr. McCue and job shadow him for a day, his persistance is like no other. He is an amazing journalist, and an amazing mentor for up and coming Native journalists.
